Located in the centre of this dreamlike environment, Le Château de
Valmer is affiliated to the prestigious hotel chain chaired by the
celebrated chef Alain DUCASSE, Châteaux et Hôtels de France. The owners
perpetuate with enthusiasm, cheerfulness, seriousness and perseverance a
family tradition of running a country house hotel based on friendliness,
know-how and an incomparable flair for hospitality, ensuring that every
stay is felt by guests to be more than a success. This old bourgeois
manor house surrounded by a vineyard covering 6 hectares, acquired in
1949 by the parents of the owners, was run first of all as a family
guest-house. Reached at the end of an elegant drive lined with palm
trees, surrounded by vines and fruit trees, this magnificent hotel has
evolved over the years.
In 1970, the elegant and comfortable family guest-house of 20 rooms was
transformed into a 2-star hotel, followed in 1991 by new refurbishment
work that raised its classification to the 3-star bracket. To achieve
this objective, the owners undertook the total renovation of the old
Provençal farmhouse and the building of its extension, raising the
number of rooms to 42. After numerous renovations, the Château de Valmer
now boasts a fourth star, acquired in spring 2004.
The owners are the conductors of their skilled teams and confer on their
hotel the spirit of a guesthouse that is attractive, authentic, filled
with light, comfortable and refined, a place where it is a pleasure to
stay. The Château de Valmer is the perfect combination of the beauty of
the Provençal countryside to which is added, as if by magic, the
unmatched splendour of one of the finest beaches of the Var coastline:
Gigaro. From the terraces, the guests enjoy a magnificent view over the
immense park with its luxuriant vegetation, the century-old palm grove,
the vineyard, the kitchen garden, the orchard and the splendid swimming
pool-solarium.
The owners of the establishment, always concerned to provide up market
services that meet the demands of their international clientele, opened
a completely new Spa covering 500 sq m, a real treat for all the senses.
Located in an extension of the main building, the Spa houses a covered
and heated swimming pool combined with an overflow Jacuzzi looking out
on the gardens, the outdoor swimming pool and the century-old palm
grove. The baths area is dedicated to rituals of purification and offers
sumptuous sauna and Turkish bath facilities. The hospitable and
professional team of masseusesbeauticians is perfectly familiar with the
philosophy of the partners Carita and Cinq Mondes for the treatments
provided in its "chic and zen" booths. To these moments of relaxation
and well-being are added the magnificent and bright fitness room, the
ideal place for a dynamic workout, not forgetting the fitness track for
a run in the delicious air of Provence.
The Château de Valmer Spa perfectly integrated into the whole
establishment, where ostentatious luxury has no place, has already taken
on the patina of Provence and creates for its guests a friendly and warm
atmosphere. The reception area has been designed as a very cosy lounge
with restful colours offset by the bright orange of 18th century style
armchairs. The "garden herbal teas" area allows guests to refresh
themselves between two treatments. |
